The history of Caucasus University begins in 1998, with the creation of the Caucasus School of Business.
CU offers students high-level education, international programs, and practice-oriented learning.

Caucasus University, Caucasus School of Law (CSL) announces a competition for the positions of Professor (7 vacancies); Associate Professor (20 vacancies) and Assistant Professor (6 vacancies) in the following areas:
Professor:
- Private Law - (4 vacancies);
- Public Law - (1 vacancy);
- Criminal Law - (1 vacancy);
- International Law - (1 vacancy).
Associate Professor:
- Private Law (5 vacancies);
- Public Law (5 vacancies);
- Criminal Law (7 vacancies);
- International Law (3 vacancies).
Assistant Professor:
- Private Law - (1 vacancy);
- Public Law - (1 vacancy);
- Criminal Law - (2 vacancies);
- International Law - (2 vacancies).
Qualification requirements
For a Professor
A person with a doctorate or an equivalent degree in the relevant field with at least 6 years of scientific-pedagogical work will be selected as an associate professor for a term of 7 years.
For an Associate Professor
A person with a doctorate or an equivalent degree in the relevant field with at least 3 years of scientific-pedagogical work will be selected as an associate professor for a term of 7 years.
For an Assistant Professor
A person with a doctorate or an equivalent academic degree in the relevant field will be selected as an assistant professor for a term of 4 years.
Additional requirements:
English language knowledge at B2 level (for English-language programs).
A qualified individual with a professional mark may be elected to the positions of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor. In this case, professional experience, special training, and/or publications may be used to confirm the person's qualifications. A person with the necessary competence to produce the learning outcomes of the program is considered to have the relevant qualification.

Interested parties should submit:
- Resume in Georgian and English (CV must include information on teaching and research)
- A copy of an identity document;
- Copies of educational records (certificates and academic degrees) (documents verifying the attainment of a doctoral/master’s/bachelor’s degree or an equivalent academic degree). In the case of doctoral candidates, include the notice of enrollment in a doctoral program.
- Required documentation to verify the legitimacy of an overseas thesis defence;
- Certificate confirming scientific and pedagogical activity and information about the workload at other higher education institutions during the last year;
- Comprehensive details on any articles, books, monographs, or other scientific work, including the title, place of publication, date, the number of pages, publisher's name, and copies of the covers. For the competition, publications from the last 5 years are especially relevant.
- Certificates, awards and other documents;
- Other documentation corresponding to the criteria established for the purpose of holding an academic/scientific position, documents certifying professional experience.
- For English-language teaching positions, proof of English proficiency is required. This can be demonstrated by possessing a valid international certificate at the B2 level or higher, and/or a document certifying the completion of a bachelor’s/master’s/doctorate English-language academic degree within the past 3 years. Alternatively, candidates can be citizens of a country where English is the official language.
The competition will be held in three stages:
- Stage I - Sorting of submitted documents;
- Stage II - Presentation/Interview;
- Stage III - Summary of the competition.

- Result publication period: July 2025.
