Caucasus University announces a vacancy for the position of Director of Research Promotion Department.

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Develop/update and implement the department's strategic and action plan.
  • Create/update documents outlining research priorities for Caucasus University and/or its schools.
  • Support and monitor the research activities of the university's academic staff.
  • Collaborate with state agencies, local, and international organizations.
  • Participate in developing the university's overall strategy.
  • Provide consultation on national research grant competitions and state science funding programs for university staff and students.
  • Create/update and monitor a unified database of scientific projects.
  • Organize university research and publication of scientific works.
  • Participate in the monitoring of ongoing research within the framework of university funding;
  • Coordinate department-planned events.
  • Participate in the authorization/accreditation process within the scope of competence.
  • Assist in developing and implementing various projects, based on the interests of the university, as directed by the Vice-President (in the field of Research and Strategic Development).

 

Qualification requirements for the Director of Research Promotion Department:

 

  • At least a master's degree or an equivalent academic degree in business administration, social and political sciences or a related field;
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a similar field (experience working with international organizations or in the educational sector is desirable);
  • Knowledge of the English language at a high level (C1, IELTS 7+, TOEFL 94+ or equivalent);
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

 

Additional requirements:

 

  • Energetic, organized, responsible and observant;
  • Ability to work with several different departments and schools at the same time and coordinate their contribution.
  • Experience in preparing extensive reports and/or academic papers in English;
  • Experience working with databases;
  • Experience in conducting research independently;
  • Ability to solve problems thoroughly and in a timely manner;
  • Ability to process and synthesize provided information in a timely manner;
  • Ability to effectively produce verbal and written communication;

 

Working conditions:

 

  • Work schedule: from Monday to Saturday (Saturday is a short working day, the need for the mentioned day(s) is determined by agreement with the management);
  • Remuneration in the range of 2500-3000 GEL, depending on the qualification of the candidate;
  • Trial period: 6 months (reimbursable).

 

The candidate who passed to the second stage may be required to write a task related to the job specification.
