Caucasus University is the winner of the Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) Regional Pre-Accelerator Competition.
Within the framework of the program, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of Caucasus University in cooperation with USAID, UNAG and GITA implements the project in regions of Georgia, funded within the framework of the USAID Unity Through Diversity Program.
The main goal of the "Caucasus University Regional Startup Tour" is to help startuppers and entreprenurs living in Kvemo-Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions to develop their own business ideas. Starting from idea and product, and ending with grant project submission. This will be achieved through intensive entrepreneurial trainings and the process of remote work with mentors. Dozens of beneficiaries will participate in the pre-accelerator program from each region and will have the opportunity to undergo intensive theoretical and practical training sessions with active representatives of the startup ecosystem in the form of trainers and mentors.
The second phase of the program will include intensive mentoring sessions, and after completing the program, teams will participate in the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) regional grant competition.
The project will contribute to the development of entrepreneurial skills of a certain group of the local population and get real, tangible results in the form of successful startups. The program is based on international experience and responds to modern challenges of the startup ecosystem.
Pre-Accelerator in Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli is implemented within the USAID Unity Through Diversity Program implemented by the UNA Georgia with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
