Students from Caucasus University were presented with certificates for completing the certificate course titled "Disinformation and Propaganda Narratives in Social Media," developed by the social media monitoring team of "Fair Elections."
The course aimed to equip students with general knowledge about disinformation and propaganda in the post-truth era, as well as internal information manipulation and propaganda narratives in Georgia. Additionally, it sought to enhance students' abilities in verifying information and discerning misinformation.
Within the course, students gained knowledge about election campaigns and political polarization in social media.
The certificate course consisted of 5 meetings, and at the end the participants prepared essays.
The authors of the 2 best essays will have the opportunity to do an internship in the social media monitoring team of "Fair Elections".
