The research of Erekle Pirveli, Professor of Caucasus School of Business, “Earnings Persistence and Predictability Within the Emerging Economy of Georgia” was published in the Journal of Financial Reporting and Accounting.
This is the first study to focus on the reform of the introduction of international financial accounting standards in Georgia and is published in the journal Emerald (indexed in the Scopus database). Analyzing the financial information of 450 large Georgian firms, the study found that the quality of cash flows (sustainability and foresight) was about 15% higher than net profit, indicating a low quality of financial information.
