CSE announces vacancies for Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor

The history of the Caucasus University begins in 1998, with the creation of the Caucasus Business School.

Caucasus University includes Schools of Business, Law, Media, Technology, Architecture and Design, Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences, Tourism, Medicine and Healthcare, Economics and Education.

 

Caucasus University, Caucasus School of Economics (CSE) announces a competition for the positions of Professor (3 vacancies), Associate Professor (5 vacancies) and Assistant Professor (8 vacancies) in the following areas:

 

 

Professor

 

  • Economy (3 vacancies)

 

Associate Professor

 

  • Economy (5 vacancies)

 

assistant professor

 

  • Economy (8 vacancies)

 

 

Qualification requirements: 

 

  1. a) for the professor

  

  • A person with a doctor's degree or an equivalent academic degree in the relevant field, who has at least 6 years of experience in scientific-teaching work, will be elected as a professor for a period of 7 years.

 

  1. b) for associate professor

 

  • A person with a doctor's academic degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant field, who has at least 3 years of scientific-teaching work, will be elected as an associate professor for a period of 7 years.

 

  1. c) for assistant professor

 

  • A person with a doctor's degree or an equivalent academic degree in the relevant field will be selected as an assistant professor for a period of 4 years.

 

Additional requirements: knowledge of the English language at least B2 level. (in the case of teaching English-language programs)

 

A qualified person can be chosen for the position of professor, associate professor and assistant professor. In this case, the qualification of the person can be confirmed by professional experience, special training and/or publications. A person who has the necessary competence to produce the learning outcomes envisaged by the program will be considered to have appropriate qualifications.

Interested persons shall submit:

 

  • Resume/CV in Georgian and English languages (CV- should include information about teaching and scientific activity);
  • Syllabus(es) of study course(s) in Georgian language;
  • Copy of identity document;
  • Copies of documents certifying education (qualification and academic degree/rank) (documents to certify having a doctorate/master's/bachelor's degree or equivalent academic degree),
  • In the case of an academic degree obtained in a foreign country, all the necessary documents to certify its authenticity;
  • Certificate confirming scientific-teaching activity (according to the position requirements)
  • Complete information about articles, books, monographs or other scientific works, which includes: the title of the work, the place of publication, the date, the number of pages and the name of the publisher, as well as copies of the outer cover of the work (for the purposes of the competition the data, for the last 5 (five) years are essential)
  • In the case of teaching in English-language programs, an international certificate confirming knowledge of the English language. (English language proficiency may be proven by the following: a valid B2 level international certificate of English language proficiency and/or a document confirming the completion of an English-language academic degree program (bachelor's/master's/doctorate) obtained within the last 3 (three) years or the person must be a citizen of the country where the official language of the country is English.)

 

 

The competition is to be held in three stages:

 

 Stage I – selection of submitted documents

 II stage – presentation/interview

 III stage – summary of the competition.

 

Date of announcement of the contest: May 20, 2024;

Document submission: from June 20, 2024 to June 27, 2024;

The period of the competition is June-July 2024;

Venue of the contest: Tbilisi City, Paata Saakadze #1; (in some cases, depending on the specifics of the competition, it can be held remotely);

The period of promulgation of the results: July 2024.
