On October 23, Caucasus University hosted the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, H.E. Zhou Qian.

As part of the official visit, a working meeting was held with the participation of the President of Caucasus University, Dr. Kakha Shengelia; Vice President for Internationalization, Ms. Irena Melua; and Director of the International Relations Department, Ms. Ketevan Karbaia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the existing cooperation between Caucasus University and leading higher education institutions in China, which includes student exchange programs, short-term academic initiatives for Georgian and Chinese students, as well as joint research projects.

It was highlighted that students from China are currently pursuing degree programs at Caucasus University, including through semester mobility programs.

The Ambassador was accompanied by the First Secretary of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, Ms. Wang Dan.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and research. The visit concluded with a tour of the university’s historical building and modern educational infrastructure, led by the President of Caucasus University.
