CU Students Create Innovative and Sustainable Tourism Solutions at the Green Tourism Challenge

3 December 2025

Caucasus University successfully hosted the four-day Green Tourism Business Challenge, developed and implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE ENRICHER-hubs project. The event brought together more than twenty students from various CU schools, who worked on a real industry case using the internationally recognized Design Sprint methodology.

The business challenge was introduced by Andro Jishkariani, representative of CU’s partner hotel, Legends Tskaltubo Spa Resort. Based on the task provided, students conducted customer interviews, contextual and desk research, and created an in-depth Research Wall. Throughout the Challenge, the teams completed every phase of the Design Sprint process—from problem analysis and idea generation to prototyping and final testing.

At the closing session, teams delivered their final pitch presentations before a jury. Two teams were named winners:

  • WellnestMost Innovative Solution
  • EcohostMost Sustainable Solution

The students’ concepts distinguished themselves through creativity, practical applicability, and strong alignment with the principles of responsible and sustainable tourism.

The students’ ideas stood out for their creativity, practicality, and alignment with the principles of responsible tourism. The Green Tourism Business Challenge offered participants a unique opportunity to work on an actual business case, develop innovative prototypes, and strengthen user-centered thinking—contributing to the cultivation of future-ready, sustainability-oriented professionals in the tourism sector.
