CU students in Athens

On January 22-27 Caucasus University students and staff visited Athens on an educational tour.

 

The participants visited the Georgian Culture Center where they listened to a public lecture about Athens. They also met Georgians living in Athens and got acquainted with their work.

 

They also visited places such as the Museum of Acropolis, which is in the list of top ten best museums, The Areopagus Hill, where Apostle Paul preached Christianity and the first court hearing was held.  

 

The students also visited the Archeological Museum considered one of the most important of its kind because it keeps exhibits of all periods of the antique age, including the Roman era.

 

They also travelled to the city of Delphos which is exceptional with its history. They visited the Temple of Apollo, Athenian Treasury, the theatre, the stadium and most importantly, the museum of Delphos full of unique and impressive discoveries.

 

On the last day of the tour the participants went on an excursion to Sounion, which is exceptional because of its location, beautiful views and startlingly beautiful sunsets.

 

During their free time, the participants took part in different entertaining activities.
