On July 2, the School of Economics at Caucasus University held the defense of undergraduate theses.

18 students presented their research on a range of important topics, including:

• The impact of gambling on Georgia's budget
• Employment and wage inequality in Georgia
• Potential economic benefits of marijuana legalization in Georgia
• Opportunities in Tbilisi's night economy
• Development of information and communication technologies in Georgia
• Challenges faced by the growing video game industry
• Assessment of economic growth's impact on environmental sustainability
• The role of Georgia's tax policy in the green transition
• The impact of public debt on interest rates and investments in Georgia

The commission evaluating the theses included Professor Erekle Pirveli, Associate Professor of the School Economics, Vano Benidze, and guest lecturer of the School Economics Natia Gigauri.
