CAUCASUS UNIVERSITY GETS INVOLVED IN ELSEVIER SYSTEM

Caucasus University is getting involved in the ELSEVIER international science system. For the first time in 2019, with government funding both private and public universities will be taking part in the international science - ELSEVIER system and thus be gaining access to its bases:

  • Scopus
  • Mendeley data

 

ELSEVIER is a global information analytical program, which gives scientific, technical and medical electronic information to many of the world’s organizations. This modern publishing system was created in 1880 in the Netherlands; it currently employs over 7500 people and is available in 180 countries.

 

Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Mr. Mikheil Batiashvili with Deputy Minister, Ms. Irina Abuladze and Director General of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, Mr. Zviad Gabisonia, held a presentation in the frames of the educational reforms in the field of science where the following was also discussed: 2019 grant contests budget increase and implementation of effective and flexible scheme of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation; diversification of research funding and attraction of foreign donors with the goal of bringing more students of Georgian general education institutions into scientific research because, as it has been emphasized, science must be a priority.
