On June 30, Dr. Kakha Shengelia, president of Caucasus University, attended a regional conference of Central and Eastern European member university rectors of The Francophone University Agency (AUF) in Bucharest.

Jaba Samushia, rector of the Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University, Shalva Kirtadze, rector of the Kutaisi Akaki Tsereteli State University, and Davit Gegechkori, head of the international relations department of the same university, also took part in the conference.

The conference aims to establish a new regional council of rectors of Central and Eastern European member universities of the Francophone University Agency (AUF) and to develop the charter of the council; as well as the development of scientific cooperation between member universities of AUF and the promotion of multilingual connections.

Rectors of higher educational institutions from different countries of the world also participated in the meeting.
