19 June 2025

On June 19, the official opening ceremony of Harvard University's Division of Continuing Education program – "Leadership Excellence: Driving Organizational Change and Success" – was held at the campus of Caucasus University.

The program was opened by the course leader, Professor Laurie Pascal of Harvard University, an expert in organizational behavior, strategy, and leadership; Irena Melua, Vice President of Caucasus University; and Elene Gabelia, Project Analyst at UN Women.

This unique leadership program, developed by Harvard professors, brings together more than 30 women professionals from the financial sector across the region, aiming to strengthen their leadership skills.

The course includes interactive lectures, case studies, group exercises, strategic discussions, and practical activities, enabling participants to immediately apply their newly acquired knowledge in their professional environments.

Participants represent financial institutions that are signatories to the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) initiated by the United Nations.

Notably, the project is implemented with the support of UN Women Georgia and is funded by the Government of Denmark and the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).

For Caucasus University, this collaboration with Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education represents a significant milestone in delivering world-class educational programs in Georgia and reaffirms the university’s commitment to internationalization and leadership development.
