Team of School of Law successfully competed in the Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition

Team of Caucasus University School of Law successfully competed in the Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition (HPMCC), and Davit Sakhokia, a third-year student of Law School, was recognized as the best speaker of the competition.

 

The CSL team consisted of Bachelor's students: Davit Sakhokia, Nino Nasaridze, Mariam Kenkadze and Mariam Tsurtsumia. The team was led by Tinatin Oboladze, a trainer at Caucasus School of Law in international and local competitions.

 

The team presented written positions as part of the competition and then competed in regional oral rounds in Tbilisi, where more than 80 students from 20 different countries participated in the competition as speakers. Davit Sakhokia, the speaker of the CSL team, took the first place among the participants.

 

The Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition is organised annually by the European Law Student Association (ELSA) in cooperation with the Council of Europe. The competition simulates procedures of complaint before the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) and gives participants the opportunity to interact practically with the European Convention on Human Rights.
