Visit of HERD Partner Universities Representatives to Dresden University of Technology

On May 2-6, 2022 Georgian partner universities representatives of Erasmus + project “Raising Research Capacity of Georgian HEIs through Developing R&D Units / HERD” visited Dresden University of Technology (TUD), one of the project's international partners.

 

The Dresden University of Technology, which is among the top 10 universities in Germany, is involved in the project in terms of planning and management of research directions. The visit was hosted by the Center for European Projects (EPC) at the Dresden University of Technology. During the visit, Representatives of 12 HERD Project Partner Universities and Deputy Head of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia - Mr. Zaza Maruashvili, had the opportunity to learn about inter-university cooperation practices and experiences in managing scientific research. The latter is known as the “Dresden Concept” and is considered a focus for further development of research and innovations in Georgia. During the visit, activities aimed at maintaining the sustainability of the HERD project results and unifying the Unified National Science Portal were also planned.

 

Nino Machurishvili, Director of the Research Facilitation Department from Caucasus University, participated in the meetings.
