On December 16-18, with the support of the International Institute of Forecasters, a 3-day workshop was held at the Caucasus University by Dr. Bahman Rostami-Tabar, Associate Professor at Cardiff University, on the topic: Data Analytics and Forecasting Using R.

Within the framework of the workshop, students were introduced to programming tools for R-statistical analysis, data preparation, manipulation and visualization; Importance of forecasting in decision making and forecasting methods, methods of regression analysis of data.

It should be noted that the workshop participants were met by a representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross, who spoke about the importance of forecasting and the approaches used by the committee in carrying out its work.
