CSH announces a competition for the position of Professor and Associate Professor

The history of Caucasus University begins in 1998, with the creation of the Caucasus School of Business.

CU offers students high-level education, international programs, and practice-oriented learning.

Caucasus University consists of schools of business, law, media, technology, architecture and design, governance, humanities and social sciences, tourism, medicine and healthcare management, economics, education.

 

 

Caucasus University, Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences (CSH) announces a competition for the position of Professor (1 vacant position) and Associate Professor (1 vacant position) in the following direction:

 

 

  • Interdisciplinary (humanitarian sciences) (1 vacant position)
  • Art (1 vacant position)

 

 

Qualification requirements.

 

ა) professor

 

An individual possessing a doctoral degree or an equivalent academic qualification in the relevant field, along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical roles, will be appointed as a professor for a term of 7 years.

 

) associate professor

 

An individual holding a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification in the pertinent field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical roles, will be appointed as an associate professor for a duration of 7 years.

 

A qualified individual with a professional mark may be elected to the positions of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. In this case, professional experience, special training, and/or publications may be used to confirm the person’s qualifications. A person with the necessary competence to produce the learning outcomes of the program is considered to have the relevant qualification.

Applicants are required to provide:

 

  • Resume in Georgian and English (CV - include information about teaching and scientific work, if any);
  • A copy of an identity document;
  • Copies of documents confirming education (qualification and academic degree/rank) (documents confirming possession of doctorate/master's/bachelor's degree or equivalent academic degree).
  • Required documentation to verify the legitimacy of an overseas thesis defence;
  • Certificate of scientific-pedagogical activity, including workloads in other higher education institutions in the past year.
  • Details regarding the candidate's doctoral, master's, or research topic, including the title, field, and direction.
  • Comprehensive information about scholarly works, such as articles, books, monographs, or other scientific publications. Include the title, place of publication, date, number of pages, and the publisher's name. Include copies of the cover of these works, particularly focusing on the last five years (if applicable).
  • Certificates, awards, and any other relevant documents.
  • Other documentation corresponding to the established criteria for holding an academic/scientific position, documents confirming professional experience.

 

 

The competition will be held in three stages:

 

Stage I - Sorting of submitted documents;

Stage II - Presentation/Interview;

Stage III - Summary of the competition.

 

 

Date of announcement of the competition: November 20, 2023;

Deadlines: December 20, 2023 - December 24, 2023;

The period of the competition is December 2023 - January 2024

Venue of the competition: Tbilisi City, Paata Saakadze #1;

Result publication period: January 2024.
