Joint project of Khetsuriani Sommelier School and Caucasus University

Dr. Kakha Shengelia, President of Caucasus University, became the co-founder of the "Khetsuriani Sommelier School".

 

The school was founded in 2003 by Shalva Khetsuriani, President of the Georgian Sommelier Association and Founder of "Marani Khetsuriani".

 

 The union of the wine industry and education representatives - "Khetsuriani Sommelier School" and "Caucasus University" will further develop the quality of wine education in Georgia and will offer students many interesting news from this year.

 

The rich experience in the wine business accumulated by more than 20 Georgian and foreign mentors during the last two decades has been gathered and united in the school. The task of the school is to promote the effective management of both the sommelier profession and the wine business.

 

During the course, the trainee will gain practical and theoretical knowledge. The practical part will take place in various small cellars, wineries and vineyards. In the theoretical part, the participants will get acquainted with both Georgian and world-wide winemaking, its development and current processes.

Fundamentals of Viticulture and Vineyard Economics

Fundamentals of Oenology and Wine Economics

Wine business

World Winemaking

Georgian winemaking

The art of sommelier

Wine and wine-gastronomic tourism
