On May 28 and June 2, at the initiative of Medea Zurabishvili, Assistant Professor at the School of Economics, a two-day lecture-training titled "Tax Environment for Business in Georgia" was held at Caucasus University.  

The lecture was delivered by Tea Gorgodze, Chief Specialist in the Methodology of Taxpayer Education and Services at the Revenue Service’s Methodology Department. 

The lecture discussed:

• How to start your own business
• Overview of existing taxes
• Tax benefits for start-up businesses
• Selecting the optimal taxation regime to reduce costs 

Also:

students were introduced to the structure and services of the Revenue Service and learned how to communicate with taxpayers easily, through the Revenue Service website rs.ge  and the authorized user page eservices@rs.ge.

The lecture-training sparked great interest among the students. The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session.
