Caucasus University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center hosted a public masterclass - “Expanding to Asian Markets: Insights from Japan’s Startup Ecosystem.”
The invited speaker was Boonho Koh, Incubation Manager at the Japanese company Tsucrea Co. Ltd., a PhD holder in Biomedical Engineering, with extensive experience in startup development, technological innovation, and international market expansion.
During the masterclass, participants received insights into:
▪️ Strategies for expanding into Asian markets;
▪️ Key characteristics of Japan’s startup ecosystem;
▪️ The importance of international partnerships and networks;
▪️ Opportunities for collaboration between Georgian and Japanese startups.
As part of his visit, Boonho Koh also held a meeting with Irakli Svanidze, Acting Head of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Caucasus University. The meeting focused on the Center’s ongoing activities, implemented programs, and future prospects for international collaboration, including opportunities to strengthen connections with the Japanese innovation ecosystem.
The masterclass was part of a broader initiative aimed at strengthening support for Georgian startups through enhanced international networking, improved market access, and stronger collaboration among ecosystem stakeholders.
