On January 10, on the initiative of Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), GIPA, Caucasus University, International Black Sea University and East European University signed a memorandum of cooperation.
Considering the importance of concurrence of higher education space and the employer demands and on the basis of the memorandum, the sides agreed to cooperate and conduct research of the Georgian labour market in the frames of “GICE Partnership” project (the name of the project stems from the names of the parties signing the memorandum).
In the frames of “GICE Partnership”, the parties will conduct quantitative research of the requirements of the Georgian labour market, the main goal of the project is to determine what kind of knowledge and skills/competencies Georgian employers expect from the academic programs of the aforementioned universities. The research will be conducted by Georgian Social Sciences Center.
In addition, the parties agreed to cooperate in other directions in the fields of common interest, for example realizing projects around topical/urgent issues, preparing and publishing educational textbooks and other publications.
