On May 20, at 14:00, a public lecture on "Mariupol, Ukraine: War and Peace" was held in the conference hall of Caucasus University.

The lecture was delivered by Irina Panamariova, Professor, Historian, Ethnologist, Ethnopolitologist at Mariupol University.

The lecture discussed the current events in Ukraine, the reality that the speaker experienced for herself, as she was in a basement near the front line for 46 days. The event was conducted in interactive mode, attendees received comprehensive answers on the reality of what is happening in Ukraine.

At the end of the meeting the President of Caucasus University, Dr. Kakha Shengelia, addressed the audience. He expressed sympathy and support to Irina Panamariova and all of Ukraine.

It should be noted that since the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine CU has been organising a variety of activities in support of the Ukrainian people.
