SDG Innovation Acceleration Program for Young Professionals - Closing Event

As part of the collaboration between the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Caucasus University and the UN Global Compact Network Georgia, the final event of the “SDG Innovation Accelerator for Young Professionals” was held.

 

At the event, welcoming remarks were delivered by Salome Zurabishvili, Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia; Irena Melua, Vice President for Internationalization at Caucasus University; Ketevan Botchorishvili, Academic Manager of Acceleration Programs at the UN Global Compact Network Georgia; Sesili Verdzadze, Project Manager of Supporting Public Administration Reform in Georgia and program facilitator. 

 

As part of the closing event, the program’s participating organizations— Betterfly, Combined Ratio Solutions, EY Georgia, Kudos, MFO Georgian Credit, Gazelle Finance, International Corporation ICR, and TBC Bank—made final presentations.

 

Within the framework of the program, four innovation camps were organized, where the facilitator introduced participants to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), their importance, and ways to implement innovative projects aligned with these goals.

 

Along with the camps, participants engaged in intensive mentoring sessions, where teams received hands-on feedback from experienced mentors and developed their ideas into actionable projects that could be implemented within their own companies. The mentoring sessions were led by Irakli Svanidze, Acting Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center; Giorgi Razmadze, CEO of Awork; Giorgi Mumladze, COO of Awork; and Levan Asanidze, Co-founder and CEO of the startup Herio.

 

The SDG Innovation Acceleration Program is being implemented in Georgia for the third time, the program is conducted with the support of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia, in cooperation with the Caucasus University; funding is provided by Sweden.
