VI International Congress of Social Sciences in Ankara

Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences Associate Professor, Doctor of History Elisabeth Machitidze participated in the VI International Congress of Social Sciences in Ankara on September 27-30.

 

The congress was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Turkish National Anthem and was held in Ankara, Yildirim Beyazit University under the auspices of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

 

The works of about 70 researchers from 28 countries were presented at the congress. Elisabeth Machitidze's report, prepared at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences together with Professor Guranda Chelidze, touched upon "Sakarya's struggle in the pages of “Tribuna” newspaper." The discussion after the report once again highlighted the importance of Georgian sources in the study of world historical events. The report was published as an article in the works of the congress.
