Summer School Program at Leipzig University of Applied Sciences

Caucasus University announces a call for applications for undergraduate students from the Caucasus School of Business and the Caucasus School of Economics to participate in a joint summer school program organized by Leipzig University of Applied Sciences, Germany: “Macroeconomics, Trade, and Intercultural Business: Germany and the South Caucasus.

 

The program is fully funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and covers the following expenses:

 

  • Round-trip airfare;
  • Accommodation (in double rooms);
  • Coffee breaks and lunch 

 

Please note: the program does not cover breakfast or dinner expenses.

 

Program Structure:

 

The project’s objective is to establish strategic partnerships for teaching and research in the field of economics and business administration, business law as well as intercultural communication, between HTWK Leipzig and two renowned universities in the Southern Caucasus: Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE) in Armenia and Caucasus University (CU) in Georgia.

 

The joint summer school program will be conducted in two phases:

 

September 17–19: Online sessions

September 22–26: Final sessions in Leipzig (one-week physical mobility)

 

Eligible and active students interested in participating in the joint summer school program must submit the following documents in English:

 

  • A valid biometric passport (citizen of Georgia)
  • EUROPASS CV
  • Academic transcript (Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0, to be submitted to Room A2)
  • Certificate of active student status (Room A2)
  • Proof of English proficiency at B2 level (Room A2)
  • 1  motivation letter
  • 1  academic recommendation letter from the faculty (Note: The letter must not be written by a language instructor)

 

All documents must be submitted electronically by September 7, 2025 to the following email address: ir@cu.edu.ge

 

Selection Procedure:

 

  • The submitted applications will be reviewed by the Selection Committee of Caucasus University
  • Information and documents of selected candidates will be forwarded to the host university

 

*During the selection process, priority will be given to students who have not previously participated in university exchange programs.
