On September 19, the President of Caucasus University Dr. Kakha Shengelia hosted the Vice Dean of International Exchange Programs and Summer School at the University of California, Berkeley, Darin Menlove and Associate Vice Chancellor, Mr. Rick Russo.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss the details of the planned collaboration, which will enable students of Caucasus University to participate in UC Berkley curricula in the following fields: Business, Law, Architecture, Economics, Information Technology, History, Media, International Relations and more.
It is noteworthy that Caucasus University students will be able to register for UC Berkeley 2020 Summer Programs from February.
Within the framework of the visit of the American University delegation, a work meeting was held with the Vice President of Research and Strategic Development, Mr. Boris (Buba) Lezhava, Director of the Department of International Relations and Projects, Ms. Irena Melua, the Dean of Caucasus School of Business, Ms. Elene Jgarkava and the Dean of Caucasus School of Public Administration, Ms. Eka Akobia.
At the meeting, the sides agreed to exchange academic staff and develop joint programs.
UC Berkeley is the oldest of the nine campuses of the University of California and is one of the best not only in the United States but in the world.
