December 14 marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Georgia!

Congratulations to the entire nation! The European Council has granted Georgia the candidate status.

The great Ilia Chavchavadze once wrote, "Even if the present is not favorable, the future is ours." Today, at this moment, we are a joyous nation, as this future is already in our hands, and we have no betrayed Ilia’s path.

We are returning home, to the place where the history of Georgia and the Georgian people began.
