The First Training Session Cycle Launched within the Erasmus + Project – Enricher-Hubs

On October 1-4 of the year, Dean of Caucasus School of Tourism Diko Kopaleishvili, Professor Giorgi Bregadze, Assistant Professor Nato Robitashvili and Assistant Professor Nino Tigishvili were at Akaki Tsereteli State University in Kutaisi and attended the first cycle of training in the framework of the Erasmus + project, Designing Green Tourism Concepts Through Learning (Enricher Hub).

 

The trainings included approaches to planning, analyzing and managing sustainable tourism for tourism locations. also reviewed the successful practices examples of the tourism industry in the partner countries of the project: Finland, Austria and Italy.

 

Caucasus University school of Tourism has been involved in the project since 2024. Project aims to increase competences in the selected higher education institutions of Georgia and Moldova in sustainable tourism and service design fields.

 

The partners of this project from the EU countries are the University of Haaga-Helia (HHUAS) (Finland), which is the project coordinator, the Austrian Teaching Centre - Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) and the University of Genoa (UniGe) (Italy).

 

In Georgia , In collaboration with Caucasus University, the project partners are Akaki Tsereteli Kutaisi State University and Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.

 

The project "Enricher Hubs" aims to identify the challenges faced by megatrends such as sustainable tourism and digital tagnologies and to take steps aiming to properly integrate them into modern learnings.

 

The training included practical activities along with innovative theoretical training, both individual and group format. The participatory learning process was cognitive, informative. The training cycle also included outbound visits to the natural and cultural heritage of Imereti region.
