Second International Conference on - A Child-Friendly Justice System and Child Rights – The Best European and American Experience

On November 20, the Second International Conference on “- A Child-Friendly Justice System and Child Rights – The Best European and American Experience” was held, organized by the Caucasus University Child Rights Center.

 

The conference brought together Georgian and international professors, experts in the field, judges, lawyers, representatives of state and non-governmental organizations, practicing lawyers from various agencies, and international organizations working on children's rights. They discussed a range of topics, including the teaching of children's rights in higher educational institutions, achievements and challenges in combating child sexual exploitation and sexual violence, the rights of children in conflict with the law, the protection of victims and witnesses in criminal proceedings, and children's rights in civil and administrative proceedings.

 

During the discussions, the participants developed ways to overcome existing challenges.

 

It is also worth noting that a collection of conference proceedings will be published in the near future, which will be distributed free of charge in legal circles.
