On June 14-18, the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for EU Policy Transposition (EUPOLTRANS) at Caucasus University conducted the third intensive, high-level training course titled "Transposition of European Union Legislation in Georgia."

The course was attended by students from various disciplines and representatives of civil society organizations whose activities or professional interests are directly linked to the implementation of obligations outlined in the association agreement in Georgia, the country's integration into the European Union and the coverage and research of this process.

The participants of the course had the opportunity to learn about the institutions and policies of the European Union from a modern perspective; the current relations and challenges between Georgia and the EU; and the need for and methods of providing academic support for the historical opportunities that come with candidacy. Throughout the training, experts involved in the project addressed Georgia's ongoing alignment with EU legislation in key areas such as labor law, environmental protection, consumer rights, competition policy, public administration, and foreign and security policy.

At the final stage of the course, participants engaged in an interactive simulation of an EU Council session. Through practical exercises, they reinforced their understanding of the decision-making mechanisms in the European Union and evaluated issues and processes related to the EU's political agenda. Additionally, participants were introduced to various opportunities for further updating their information and knowledge about EU institutions and policies.

At the end of the course, participants were awarded certificates from Caucasus University and the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for EU Policy Transposition (EUPOLTRANS).
