Using Verkle Trees for Post-Quantum Security

20 February 2025

A team from Caucasus University, in collaboration with the Scientific Cyber Security Association, has received a fundamental grant from the Shota Rustaveli Georgian National Science Foundation for the project "Using Verkle Trees for Post-Quantum Security."

Project leader and researcher: Professor Maksim Iavich.

Researchers: Avtandil Gagnidze, Tamari Kuchukhidze, Diana Popova and Oksana Kovalchuk.

The project is focused on enhancing post-quantum cryptographic security by integrating Verkle trees into digital signature schemes.

This approach aims to improve the efficiency and security of the schemes against quantum attacks.

The research will contribute to the development of robust post-quantum security solutions and enhance cryptographic resilience in the quantum era.

Project duration: 3 years.

Budget: 238,500 GEL.
