Caucasus University consists of schools of business, law, media, technology, architecture and design, governance, humanities and social sciences, tourism, medicine and healthcare management, economics, education. 

 

Caucasus University announces a vacancy for the position of Director of Research Promotion Department. 

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Developing/updating the department's strategic and action plan and ensuring its implementation;
  • Creating/updating a document defining research activity priorities for Caucasus University and/or its individual schools;
  • Assisting in the research activities of the academic staff of Caucasus University and monitoring the research activities;
  • Cooperation with state agencies, local and international organizations;
  • Participation in the development of the university's strategy;
  • Providing consultations for university employees and students in national research grant competitions and in issues of state funding programs for science;
  • Creation/updating and further monitoring of a unified database of scientific projects;
  • Organization of university studies and publication of scientific works;
  • Participation in the monitoring of ongoing research within the framework of university funding;
  • Coordination of events planned by the department;
  • Participation in the authorization/accreditation process within the scope of competence;
  • Taking part in the development and implementation of various projects, based on the interests of the university, on the instructions of the vice-president (in the field of research and strategic development);

 

Qualification requirements for the Director of Research Promotion Department:

 

  • No less than a master's degree or equivalent academic degree in business administration, social and political sciences or a related field;
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a similar field (experience of working with international organizations or in the educational sector is desirable);
  • High level of English language proficiency (C1, IELTS 7+, TOEFL 94+ or equivalent);
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

 

Additional requirement:

 

  • Energetic, organized, responsible and observant;
  • Ability to work with several different departments and schools at the same time and coordinate their contributions.
  • Experience in preparing extensive reports and/or academic papers in English;
  • Experience working with databases;
  • Experience of conducting research independently;
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and thoroughly;
  • Ability to process and synthesize information provided in a timely manner;
  • Ability to effectively produce verbal and written communication;

 

Work Conditions:

 

  • Full-time work day, from Monday to Saturday (Saturday is a short work day);
  • Trial period: 3 months.
