On July 27, Caucasus University hosted delegations from partner universities: University of Johannesburg, South Africa and Almaty Management University, Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the visit, meeting was held with the guests, namely: Vice-Chancellor of the University of Johannesburg Lethlokwa George Mpedi, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Humanities Prof. Kammila Naidoo, Head of the Internationalization Division, Prof. Ylva Rodny-Gumede, Senior Executive Director Dr. Nolitha Vukuza, President of Almaty Management University, Assylbek Kozhakhmetov, and Prof. Takir Balykbaev, the President of the I. Altinsarin National Academy of Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meeting with the delegations of the partner universities was attended by Caucasus University President Kakha Shengelia, Vice President for Internationalization Irena Melua, Director of the International Relations Department Ketevan Karbaia and other representatives of the mentioned department, where the parties talked about the successes achieved during the cooperation and about future plans.
During the visit, Professor Lethlokwa George Mpedi gave a public lecture to the students and the administrative staff of the Caucasus University on the topic “Exploring the Ethical and Legal Implications of Artificial Reproductive Technology”.
It should be noted that Caucasus University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Almaty Management University (2019) and Johannesburg University (2022).
