Caucasus University hosted H.E. Mr. Shoayb Casoo, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa.

During the visit, the Ambassador met with Ms. Irena Melua, Vice President for Internationalization at Caucasus University, and Ms. Ketevan Karbaia, Director of the International Relations Department.

The meeting focused on the existing cooperation between Caucasus University and higher education institutions in South Africa, opportunities to further strengthen international partnerships, and prospects for future collaboration.

As part of the visit, the Ambassador also met with South African students studying at Caucasus University. He learned about their academic experience at the University and their experience of living in Georgia, listened to their feedback, and discussed issues of particular importance to them.

Caucasus University continues to actively strengthen its cooperation with higher education institutions in South Africa. Currently, the University collaborates with a number of leading South African higher education institutions in various areas, including student exchange, institutional development projects, and short-term programs.

These partnerships constitute an important part of Caucasus University’s internationalization efforts and aim to expand international opportunities for students and academic staff, promote the exchange of experience, and foster long-term cooperation between institutions.
