The president of Caucasus University and of International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) has been elected Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science.

Founded in 1955 by Albert Einstein, the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS) is an international non-governmental scientific and arts organization incorporating all the modern branches of science (natural, social and humanities) and all the spheres of art.

Dr. Kakha Shengelia was recommended as a membership candidate at the international conference organized by the IAUP consortium and was subsequently elected a Board member of the World University Consortium for three years.

The president of the World Academy of Art and Science Dr. Heitor Gurgulino de Souza is an honorary Doctor of Caucasus University – a fact that deserves a special mention.

In May Caucasus University campus was visited by the CEO and Chair, Executive Commitee of the World Academy of Art and Science, Gary Jacobs.
