On February 5, Caucasus University hosted writer Salome Benidze on World Book Reading Day. The author read excerpts from her novel ‘The City on the Water’, after which she talked about the importance of reading books and answered the students' questions.
On World Book Reading Day, people have the opportunity to come together, celebrate the day of reading books aloud, and to contribute to the promotion of reading itself.
With the initiative of the Georgian Publishers and Booksellers Association, World Book Reading Day has been celebrated for the fifth time in Georgia. The official partner of the event is the international organization "Litworld". The number of people involved in the event reaches more than 31 million worldwide.
The event was held for the third time on the campus of Caucasus University.
