A public lecture on “Consolidated Financial Statements” was held at CU for students of Caucasus School of Business.
The lecture was delivered by Nano Samkurashvili, Co-Founder of Lino and an IFRS expert. The meeting was attended by students from both the Business School and the School of Economics.
During the session, key issues related to the preparation of consolidated financial statements were discussed, including associates and subsidiaries, joint ventures, equity instruments in other entities, the principles of eliminations in group financial statements, and methods for calculating goodwill.
The speaker shared both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Through real-life examples and practical cases, students had the opportunity to better understand the process of preparing consolidated financial statements and the challenges associated with it.
The interactive lecture gave students the opportunity to ask questions and receive practical, experience-based answers.
