Students of Caucasus School of Medicine participated in a scientific-practical conference held on May 2 at Ultrasound Academy.
The founder of Ultrasound Academy and Head of the Radiology Department at Holomed Clinic, Pikria Rekhviashvili, delivered a practical masterclass for the participants on the topic: “Elastography of the Thyroid Gland, Breast, and Subcutaneous Tissues: TI-RADS, BI-RADS, and Strain Analysis.”
The masterclass covered the following topics:
- Targeted fine-needle aspiration biopsy of the thyroid gland;
- Ultrasound-guided breast biopsy;
- Soft tissue examination and related manipulations.
As part of the conference, participants gained knowledge of modern elastography methods and the practical application of international classification systems.
