As part of the higher education system reform, the Master's Program in Diplomacy and International Relations has been restructured into a 1+1 model, which will come into effect from the 2026–2027 academic year.
The program consists of two parts.
The aim of Part II of the Master's Program in Diplomacy and International Relations is to prepare researchers in diplomacy and international relations who are able to:
- Collect, process, critically analyze, and synthesize data using appropriate research methods, while adhering to the principles of academic integrity and applying the latest methods and approaches; formulate conclusions that reflect professional and ethical responsibilities.
- Effectively communicate professional knowledge in written and oral forms, including in a foreign language.
- Contribute to the development of professional knowledge and practice, independently identify appropriate steps for continuous professional development, and pursue further studies at the next academic level.
Program Duration - The standard duration of Part II of the Master's Program in Diplomacy and International Relations is one academic year. Upon completion of the standard period, a student may continue their studies for a maximum of four additional semesters (two academic years) while maintaining student status.
Academic Degree Awarded - Master of Research in International Relations.
Language of Instruction - Georgian.
Career Opportunities: Upon successful completion of the program, graduates awarded the degree of Master of Research in International Relations may pursue careers in educational and research institutions, particularly in positions related to international politics research, and/or continue their studies at the doctoral level.
