Dean of the Caucasus School of Governance, prof. Eka Akobia has become a COST action IGCOORD (CA20123) researcher.

IGCOORD connects researchers from 34 European countries, and links expertise that remained unrelated to date from different countries, (sub-)disciplines and problem situations. IGCOORD research is carried out in five working groups.

IGCOORD aims to provide systematic and comparable insights in the institutions, mechanisms and processes of intergovernmental coordination in the horizontal and in the vertical direction, across levels of government, policy sectors and territorial units.

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is a funding organisation for research and innovation networks. Its actions help connect research initiatives across Europe and beyond and enable researchers and innovators to grow their ideas in any science and technology field by sharing them with their peers (COST official web page).

Georgia and Ukraine were admitted into COST action in March 2022.
