Eka Akobia at the International Conference Organized by the Faculty of European Studies, University Babes Bolyai and DYCLAM+ Erasmus Mundus Project

On November 24, Dean of the Caucasus School of Governance, Prof. Eka Akobia participated in the International Conference Organized by the Faculty of European Studies, University Babes Bolyai and DYCLAM+ Erasmus Mundus Project „Revisiting cultural patrimony narratives in the EU’s candidate states amid Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine“.

 

Eka Akobia presented „Russia's dissonant interpretations of Georgian cultural patrimony as a tool of hybrid warfare to undermine Georgia’s European integration“ as part of the first panel of the Conference. Participants from Universities across Ukraine, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Western Balkans presented their research on the Conference's main theme.

 

An opening speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Robert Belot, Université Jean Monnet de Saint-Étienne, Coordinator of the DYCLAM+ Consortium on the topic „Justifier la guerre par l’histoire et le patrimoine. L’exemple de l’agression de la Russie contre l’Ukraine“.

 

As part of the visit, Prof. Eka Akobia met with the Dean of the Faculty of European Studies, Babeș- Bolyai University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adrian-Gabriel Corpădean as well as other colleagues from partner Universities.
