From March 2 - 5, a Georgian delegation visited the Islamic Republic of Iran. Professors from Caucasus University, Tbilisi State University, and Caucasus International University, along with representatives from the National Center of Manuscripts, participated in several meetings during the visit.

The meetings conducted in Tehran, including those at the University of Tehran, the State Center for Dialogue of Religions and Cultures of Iran, Al Mustafa International University in Qom, and the Imam Khomeini International Center, were fruitful for the development of further educational and scientific relations between the two sides.

Professor Guranda Chelidze of the Caucasus University School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Associate Professor Elisabeth Machitidze, and Advisor to the Caucasus University President, Amin Nageliani, participated in the scientific conference "Common Values of Christianity and Islam", by presenting a joint report "Georgian Catholic Community of Istanbul - Historical Lessons of Tolerance".

The report once again emphasized the importance of inter-religious dialogue, tolerance between different nationalities and religions for peaceful coexistence.
