On November 29, students from the Caucasus University's School of Humanities and Social Sciences European studies undergraduate program met with Ms. Maka Bochorishvili, chair of Georgia's Parliament's EU Integration Committee.
Students learned about the EU Integration Committee's activities and role in Georgia's integration into the European Union; the discussion focused on the process and prospects for Georgia's membership in the European Union.
The meeting was conducted in an interactive format. The chair of the committee responded to students' questions about the completed and ongoing reforms on the road to Georgia's accession to the European Union, as well as the current challenges.
Representatives of Caucasus University emphasized the university's role in raising public awareness about the European Union, the Jean Monnet projects implemented at the university, and the importance of the publications produced as part of these projects.
After the meeting, the students went to the Georgian Parliament and the Ekvtime Takaishvili Museum of Georgian Parliamentarism.
