On April 20, Caucasus University hosted the final part of the 3-day long Georgian-French international conference. Representatives of 8 French, 5 Georgian and 2 Armenian universities, totaling more than 60 researchers and scientistsm, participated in the conference - "Center and Periphery: Adaptation of Political, Economic, Cultural and Linguistic Space in Modernity". From the Georgian side, the organizers of the conference were Caucasus University, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Ilia State University.
At the event held at Caucasus University, CU Vice-President in the field of research and strategic development, Dr. Boris (Buba) Lezhava, addressed the audience and introduced the participants of the conference to the history and the present of Caucasus University. He also spoke about the cooperation that connects the university with French higher educational institutions. Eva Bertrand, coordinator of the French-Georgian University, also gave a welcome speech at the event. She emphasized the importance of deepening scientific contacts between France and Georgia and the role of the French-Georgian University in this process.
At the conference held on April 20, the thematic sections were led by Professor Vano Benidze of the Caucasus School of Economics and Dean of the Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences Davit Natroshvili.
