On November 10, the Georgian Technical University hosted an international scientific conference "Caucasus-Europe-America".
The conference was opened by the deputy rector of Georgian Technical University in the field of science, Professor Zurab Gasitashvili. The project coordinator and head of the conference organizing group, Associate Professor Emzar Phazhava of STU, addressed the participants. The conference aimed to support Euro-Atlantic studies in Georgia.
The conference was attended by professors, master's, and doctoral students from both state and private universities in Georgia. Representatives from academic circles at foreign partner universities also participated in the event.
During the conference, reports were presented by Guranda Chelidze, Professor of the Caucasus University School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Academic Head of the European Studies Bachelor’s Degree Program, Doctor of History. Her topic was "American and European Policy” “American Interest on Georgia Pages"; also, Professor Elisabed Machitidze, also from the same school and a Doctor of History, presented on "Turkey-EU Relations and the Cyprus Issue in the 80s of the 20th Century." The reports were accompanied by an interesting discussion about the current processes in the world, the search for ways to solve them in the prism of historical experience.
