Caucasus University Professor Mariam Manjgaladze Visits Lithuania

Mariam Manjgaladze, Professor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences was in Vilnius at the invitation of the Minister of Culture of Lithuania and Chairman of the Writers' Union (11.11 -18.11.2021). The business trip included several events:

An anthology of short stories by Georgian women writers was presented at the Writers' Union, where Mariam Manjgaladze presented the topic: "Georgian-Lithuanian Literary Bridge"

Mariam Manjgaladze supported the Georgian Book Corner opened at the initiative of the “Lithuanian-Georgian Friendship Embassy” and “Equalibrium” at the Lithuanian National Library. She handed the General Director - Prof. Renaldas Gudauskas 12 books addressed to readers by authors with autographs. Among them were the books of Caucasus University President "History of Georgia" in Georgian and English. Participated in a meeting in Viulon organized by the translator of Chabua Amirejibi "Data Tutashkhia" writer Violeta Shublinskaite.

Had a meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Vilnius - Prof. Inessa Sheshkaushkiene and expressed readiness to cooperate with Caucasus University (Mariam Manjgaladze taught at the same university in 2015-2016)

Prof. Mariam Manjgaladze received letters of gratitude from the Lithuanian Parliament and the Embassy of Georgia in Lithuania for strengthening the cultural and educational ties between Georgia and Lithuania.
