On May 20, a public lecture by translator Ani Kopaliani was held at the initiative of the students of the English Philology course of Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences. During the meeting, she spoke about the Canadian writer Margaret Atwood's novel “The Handmaid's Tale”, which she translated.
The translator shared her experiences with the students on the content, linguistic and stylistic challenges of translating the novel, overcoming them, the socio-cultural characteristics of translation, and the challenges of the literary translator profession.
