In recent years, historical science has paid great attention to the study and evaluation of events of the last century. Turkish scientific circles have dedicated a number of scientific forums to the end of the First World War, the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the national liberation movement, the centennial anniversary of the national anthem. This time too, traditionally, Istanbul State University hosted an international symposium. About forty papers submitted by researchers from different countries dealt with the ongoing processes in Turkey in 1918-1923. Among the speakers were professors of Caucasus University Guranda Chelidze and Elisabeth Machitidze. A wide audience heard a report on "The Georgian Press of 1921 on the Current Processes in Turkey." The feedback on the presented study once again underlined the importance of Georgian sources, including press materials, in the study of world history.
