Workshop in clinical art therapy

On March 4, a workshop in clinical art therapy was held at Caucasus University.

 

The workshop was conducted by Natia Panjikidze, a psychologist, the founder of the psycho-social rehabilitation center - "Kamara" and the head of the clinical art therapy master's program at CU.

 

The theoretical and practical part of the workshop was built around one technique, which was selected according to the psychoanalytical approach of art therapy. The event discussed such issues as: symbols, the meaning of which are not quickly understood; The power of art therapy to help us reach ourselves; Observing the relationship that occurs with the image during the creation process and after creation.

 

The workshop was intended for those who want to better understand what art therapy serves and experience their own sensations in the process of performing art therapy techniques.
