On December 6 and 9, the Caucasus School of Media hosted master classes for CU students and members of the administration within the framework of the US Embassy's Media Education Program. The master classes were conducted by:
- Dr. Nathan Carpenter, Director of Convergent Media at the Illinois State University School of Communication.
- Richelle Rogers - Program Director of Masters in Digital Media and Storytelling Instructor at Loyala University Chicago, Ms.
- Joan Martin, Director of Online Studies at the University of Chicago College of Communication
Dr. Carpenter spoke on topics such as "Strategic Communication and Social Networks" and "Analyzing and Using Social Media in the Academic Space." Mr. Carpenter spoke with members of the Caucasus University administration on the practice of collecting, understanding and presenting social media data, while giving students career advice and training on digital platforms and innovations.
Ms. Rogers conducted a master class for students on "Reporting and Storytelling Techniques" and answered their questions at the end of the meeting.
In addition, Mr. Martin conducted a master class on "Best Practices for Online Teaching" for CU members.
The invited guests met with the President of Caucasus University Dr. Kakha Shengelia and toured the campus.
